Board of Directors Election update:

The "nominations" are open, and it's URGENT if you want to run for one of the 5 "seats" that will be voted on in October, you need to "nominate" yourself. Yes, it sounds screwy,  but if you want to be on the Board of Directors, you need to email the Nomination Committe, specifically email or call Mike von Radesky, This email address is being protected from spambots. Initial expressions of interest by members in becoming Board Members.” (this list will be updated as it changes, it is NOT the final list)

Elections! According to the BYLAWS we have a number of things to do and they come fast! In our August meeting, Mike von Radesky was announced as the the head of the nominating committee (Article IV, Section 4A), but in reality the committee of at least 3 members should have been in place on July 15, so we are a little behind!

Per the bylaws, it being an odd year, 5 members "seats" are to be elected. (Article IV, Section 2). The "open seats" are those people who have served 2 years, currently Dick Dale, Julie Dale, Mike von Radesky, John Hynd and Rich Perrelli.

Note well: the elections are to fill the Board to 9 members. The positions on the board, including President are by elections among the Board Members. (Article 4, Section 5)

Again, you will be voting on filling 5 "seats" on the board, you are only voting for 5 people on the board, not to place that person as President or Treasurer, for example.

So, as we get the people "nominated" they will be listed here. The list should have been submitted to the board by August 15 or our August meeting, so we have to get going! Note: you nominate yourself if you are interested in running in the election for Board members. Email Mike von Radesky at the address below or give hime a call.

The listing of the nominated candidates WILL be in the September newsletter, and will also be published here (Article IV, Section 4C).

The election takes place at the meeting in October, but you can also request an absentee ballot.
